And So It Begins...

Our gorgeous son is already a handful, I am so not ready for girls!
Last week at the highschool football game, Bryant's good friend K was all huggy! They know each other from church, for three years now, and they are also at the same school for kindergarten. She is in another class and they meet up at recess to play!
Look at how Bryant is trying to hide in his shirt! Too funny! Sorry buddy, you are way to cute and the girls won't be able to resist you! haha!

Finally... braces!

Two and a half years after we started with the expander... the beginnings of a $6,000 mouth!
The reason it has taken so long... not wearing her headgear consistently! And with braces, she still has to wear them! If she doesn't, I get to listen to her Zune that day!

Director's Choice

Our lovely friend, Lomney, gave us tickets to the ballet! So last night my friend A. and her daughter picked Sydney and I up and we headed into the city! Pacific Northwest Ballet was doing a dress rehearsal, Director's Choice last night. We had so much fun and liked some acts better than others, but we had good company, many water breaks, gummy bears and skittles! After the second act we headed out for better seats. The photo below is in our first seats, not to bad, they were toward the back of the second tier before we moved...
and found these great seats! We had a box all to ourselves and we were all giggly about it! Finally we could see the facial expressions of the dancers!
At the end of the show the dancers all came out for their critiques and a bow. The dancers in sweats had covered themselves as they had super thin skin like outfits on which left nothing to the imagination!

PAPA

Last week our dear Papa turned 75 years old! Nana gave him a huge party with all of his friends and family, over 100 guests. She tried to have a garden party, but it rained all day long! So we stuffed 100+ people into their tiny rambler. Some people didn't even know there was food being served! What can I say about Papa... he is so kind, genuine, great conversationalist, generous, loving, interesting, a story teller, should be a winner on Jeopardy, and is our Papa! We love you Papa! This is what they looked like after the party was over and the guests had all left, they had gone down to their bedroom sitting room and we found them like this!

What if you didn't have...

Bryant and I were walking home from school today and he started playing a game called what if. It began with what if you didn't have fingers and went on to hands, penis, head and finally what if you didn't have a belly button? I said, "Hmmmmm, I don't know." He replied; "You wouldn't know when to stop the water in the tub!" Very clever, Bry! The "button" is the measurement in our home as to when he turns the bath water off.

Soccer Time

Soccer has officially started in our family once again! Taylor starts tomorrow and cuts will be on Friday... I will keep you posted on that one. Anyways, Bry had a huge soccer jamboree yesterday and they played two games in a row. He had so much fun, wearing a huge grin the whole time!
He will learn fundamentals soon, hopefully. Like keeping a foot on the ground when you throw the ball in bounds... The coaches are on the field right with the players the whole game teaching them as they play.
Half time smile!

Seattle Aquarium

My brother's family came to town for the Labor Day holiday weekend. My other brother and his girlfriend joined us a bit later. Here we are down on the pier near the aquarium.
The octopus was so cool! He would change color right before our eyes and we couldn't take them off of his suction cupped tentacles!

Sydney loved this artwork near the restrooms and wanted me to take photos of all of them! Nice cheeky grins, huh?
Tay and Uncle BenDancing to the player piano that is behind them. It was so cool and brought back memories of my childhood friend's house. They had one that you put a roll of paper on it and it played. I always loved that. I still want one of my own!

Seattle's Gum Wall

Gross! I don't want to touch it!

Sydney's nice, shiny, wet Juicy Fruit gum added to the colorful wall in Pikes Street Market!

First Day of School 2010

Sydney is still quite small for her grade... but her friend K is reall tall! See the boy in the left in the blue shirt? He had a crush on Sydney all last year. She came home from school and told me he was watching her during lunch, she'd catch him and tell him to stop. He'd look away, then she'd catch him again! Too funny! She's like... whatever, Noah.

Just look at poor little Bryant's worried face... so sad. I stayed and walked him all the way to his classroom and...
He had a great time! Mrs. Wolcott read the story about the Gingerbread boy and he said he as scared when the gingerbread boy disappeared! They then toured around the school looking for him and an aid named Ms. Fox was caught wiping crumbs off her shirt... he did show up back in the room and everyone got to eat a cookie! So much fun!

Bryant's good friend K is in the other kindergarten class and her mom thought it would be fun to take a photo of them in Kindergarten and then in fifth grade!

Taylor's first day was a day after the other two started. I told her I wanted a photo before she left and she just looked at me and said No! But when we got outside, she went and stood in front of the tree for me! What a good little girl! So I now have a kindergartener, a fifth grader and an eighth grader!
