Beads...

So it all began when my friend Brianne asked if I wanted to make these cool watches (Michelle, I am making one for Janae' for her birthday, so don't steal the idea until after that!) :) Anyways, these way cute watch bands clip off and on, making it really easy to switch them out to match your outfit! And so cute! Brianne has several colors and they are all so cute! We spent like two hours in the bead shop in Bellevue and let me tell you it was so overwhelming! Beads everywhere and in every color imaginable too! But, I do think it turned out pretty darn cute! I think I'll make more soon...
Then Sydney wanted a new bracelet... and we made this one. The beads are red, they just didn't show up too well in the photo.
Then came this... I found a package of Twilight charms, so cute! On Tuesday a friend of mine bought a whole theater for her friends to watch Eclipse together without all the young girls screaming... We did this for the last two movies as well and it is so fun chatting, playing games, watching the previous movie to "catch up". I thought I'd make this to take and put in as a prize, but first I am wearing it to church tomorrow to show all my CrAzY Twilight friends who will go GaGa over it! These beads are red as well, sorry about the lighting. It was so much fun putting it all together too!
For all those Team Jacob fans...

Last Day of School Circus

On the last day of school at the elementary school they have what they call the Circus. It's not really a circus, but it is crazy! First, all the kids bring their chairs out to the blacktop and sit by class and grades. Then each grade performs a dance that they have been working on in music class and then the unicycle riders perform too! Syd can't free-mount so will have to wait until next year to perform. Oh, and they had some tumblers too! The kids love it!

Look at how my baby can balance! He is so ready for Kindergarten...

Fourth Grade BBQ

On Monday a few of the mom's put together a fourth grade BBQ and celebration party! Hot dogs, chips, watermelon, cookies and capri suns! The kids ate, signed a poster for their teacher, played and then passed the ticking water balloon, that would eventually pop the balloon and someone would get wet. Sydney's BFF moved at Christmas time this past winter and it hasn't been the same since. They got out of school last week and so her mom and little sister came by to visit and party with us.
Eating lunch with friends... I packed a lunch for Syd as she doesn't eat hotdogs, in fact, she won't eat meat! She used to love roast beef when she was little. A mean old crow even stole her cookies while she had turned around and flew off with them! Next year our party will be even better as they will be graduating from elementary and off to middle school! YIKES!

oops!

Forgot to mention the lovely certificate Taylor and the other girls received, spelled wrong! No trophies...I felt so bad for the girls, they love the trophies! We had ten out of 14 girls who this was their first year and didn't even get a trophy...darn!

End of Softball 2010

Anyone ever hear of a Silver Hawk? The girls on the team came up with the name right before photos this year. I must admit I have not been too keen on the Renton Little League Softball this year. They are sooooo unorganized! I registered Taylor in January and didn't hear a word until the week before spring break in April! Then our friend who was the assistant coach told us that the first practice was to be in three days, during spring break, and that he had just found out about it! CrAzY! Then half of our games were cancelled because of rain, we hardly had any practices and our girls were rotated all over the place always playing different positions and never learning and staying with any position! Ugh! We had fourteen girls and on our last game, it wasn't raining, but we didn't have enough to play the game and had to cancel! What????!?!?!? We didn't have enough players, that is crazy! Poor Tay, she was so bummed about that for a day or two. Now to decide if we play again next year with the same team. Because Taylor is thirteen she can play up to the next level... we'll see! I must say, the girls did have so much fun when they did get to play and really got along well. Go Silver Hawks!

Todd is forty!

Todd turned Forty yesterday. Bryant and I went to Microsoft to have lunch with him. I had the best soup, it was called Loaded baked potato soup, anyone have a recipe for one like it that is really yummy? It even had bacon in it...hmmmm! Todd is a pie man, lemon meringue to be exact, and every year we have pie instead of cake and ice cream. His mother and step-father were here last weekend and so we celebrated both his and Tay's birthdays, so we had his pie then. Bryant and I took him a pie at lunch for him to share with his co-workers, they couldn't believe he was forty! So young looking!

If anyone knows Todd well, he is a popcorn guy! He would have it everyday if he could, and sometimes he does! One thing is, it has to be air popped with real butter on it! His old popper was given to him just after we got married from a friend who had two, so it is 17 years old! He will like this one and it comes with a horrible story...I took Bryant with me to Belle Square to just run in to Williams Sonoma, real quick like. Bryant always remembers that when we go to Belle Sq. he gets an Orange Julius with a banana in it. We went upstairs to the shop and he sees we are at the shop and not at the Orange Julius shop...freak out! Won't go into the store at all, so I kindly asked the ladies at the door if they would get the popper for me and I'd meet them at the register... dragged Bry in promising to get the drink right after we got the popper, which was on the lower floor and down a bit and since we were already here...he was not having any of it at all. Finally paid, with him squirming all over whining and leave the store, no intention of getting the drink now because he was such a stinker and he starts screaming as loud as he can. People are actually not looking at me on purpose now because he is so loud! I drag him all the way out to the car also lugging my purse and the popper! After five minutes he finally gets buckled and we head for home where he laid on his bed for two hours! I told Todd I felt like I couldn't spank him there, I did at the car, because I'd get turned into child services and the mall video would be all over the news! Ugh! What is a mother to do? Anyways, Happy Birthday Toddy!

Birthday number two for Tay!

Everyone in our family knows when we see Nana everyone gets a present, even if it isn't your birthday... we love Nana! Everyone got a dollar store light up light saber, three of which are already broken by Bryant. We visited, opened gifts, had cake and pie and then dinner at Red Robin, a tradition of ours.
Taylor received a frog quilt with a minky blanket on the back.
Sydney received music fabric that Nana is going to make into a quilt for her bedroom.
Bryant received a Star Wars blanket and cookie cutters, which we are using tonight and I'll let you know how it goes! Way too cute!
Taylor also received a new motor for her go-kart from Nana and Louise. Now to decide whether to replace the one she has already or to buy a new go-kart frame to go with the new motor and have two go-karts... hmmmmm, what's a girl to do?

Fourth Grade Field Trip

Last week Bryant and I loaded up the wagon and headed to the school for a field trip. We were the tail end of the three fourth grade classes walking to the park. It took us 40 minutes to walk to the park! My arms were so sore from pulling the wagon with Bryant in it! We ended up being there for four hours. That is a long time to be at the park, if you ask me. The kids all had their packed lunches. Here is Sydney eating with her teacher, Miss Unti.
Even Bryant had about four otter pops, they were way too kind to him!

Bryant climbing a tree, or trying... We had a long, fun time at the park, thanks Sydney!

Officially A Teenager!

On Sunday, Taylor turned thirteen! Although she has had the attitude of a teenager for awhile now! All she wanted was an MP3 player, so that is what she got! A Zune and she loves it! I think we have created a monster... she hasn't put it down once and is really enjoying finding music online.
I decided to try a new cake, white and it looked awful! The recipe said to freeze and then ice it. So I did that and this is what it looked like, all misshapen and UgLy! My kids kept telling my how ugly my cake was... Nana will be in town next weekend and I'll get to redeem myself then. But, I must tell you it was delicious and so moist! Todd told me I had to put it in my blog, because I am always writing about others mishaps... okay, here is one of mine! Plus I didn't quite have enough icing.
Happy Birthday Taylor! I love you!
