Christmas Eve 2009

I guess it is time to start writing about the holiday activities of our family. Christmas eve we ordered in Teriyaki take out, so yummy! The kids gave chop sticks a try and had fun with them. Taylor thought she needed a bit more spice with the Tabasco sauce...

As with many other families, we have a tradition of opening one gift on Christmas eve. That gift is always new pajama's! These are from Nana and Papa this year. Now off to bed children so Santa can bring our presents!

Garden D'Lights

Last weekend we headed into Bellevue to the Botanical Gardens to see the Garden D'Lights show. It was beautiful! The night we went with our good friends the Allens was a wet, muddy, good time! Luckily it was mostly misting and not pouring rain. Below is a pond scene.
We put this one on our Christmas cards...don't worry if you haven't received one, I haven't mailed them yet!
This is a close up of a flower! It is pretty amazing how many lights they use!

Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

We attended the Rigtrup Ugly Christmas Sweater Party last weekend and had so much fun! We didn't win any prizes though, darn! Todd is actually wearing my playing in the snow sweater and I'm wearing one I've had for years and years just saving it for something, maybe a party like this or maybe I just liked it... shoulder pads included!

Ice Skating Activity

The name of the game was take away and keep Taylor's hat! But, little did they know that Taylor is an expert skater! Watch out Emily, here she comes!

Tying Flies for money!

Todd offered the girls money to make him some fly fishing flies! Sydney made about four of these tiny guys and made $2.00!

Ready, Steady, Go!

Taylor never ceases to amaze me...really! Last weekend she made the handrail on the stairs into a race track. They used cardboard to make bumpers on the sides and that big square in the front right corner of the photo, is styrofoam taped to the wall on the landing to protect the wall from damage, how nice of her! You put the car on, lift the stopper and down it goes and crashes into the styrofoam pad! This kept them busy for awhile... Crazy kids!
