This past weekend we headed east to upstate New York for the funeral of Todd's sister in law, Suzanne. She was 47 years old and lost the battle with Cancer. The funeral was beautiful and the talks were amazing! She was such a sweet loving person. It was so much fun for the girls to spend time with their cousin Kristina! Bryant decided it was more fun to spend three nights with his bestest buddy, Jonathon! They stayed up late and had so much fun together! On Sunday we drove back to Boston, MA to site see a bit and catch our flight home. It was a wonderful 75 degrees, sunny and oh so warm! Our first stop was to see the USS Constitution, the first commisioned war ship for the US Navy. It is still floating and they take it out with lottery winners on the fourth of July every year! It was super cool!
In the distance you can see Todd, Taylor, Sydney and our tour guide. We actually got to go down to see two different levels, good thing I'm short!
This was a WWII warship that was dry-docked next to the USS Constitution and you could only walk the deck area and into a couple of rooms up top.
Behind Sydney's back you can see a monument, tall and skinny. It is the marker for Bunker Hill. Todd wanted to go see it and I told him it was probably farther than he thought it was, so we just took a photo! The weather was amazing and to feel the sun and actually put on sunglasses was just what this girl needed! The flight attendant announced as we were nearing Seattle that the weather was, well a crummy 35 degrees and raining! Ha Ha! Welcome home!
