Saturday we went with a group from church to a beach near Quilcene. That's about all I know of where we went. We did boat everyone around to the beach on the other side of the fingerling of land, that is what Todd called it. Sounds like I don't know much...hmmmm... Anyways, once we arrived it was time to go clamming, which was surprisingly easy! You just raked a bit and there they were, you threw them into a bucket of sea water and that was it, super easy! It was a beautiful, perfect Seattle day! It actually was hot when we arrived back on land at the end of the day.
Sydney and Rory spent all day collecting sea shells and even found tons of live sand dollars!
Todd had invited some young, strapping :) young guys from work and one of their girlfriend. They all had a great time! Here they said, take a picture and we'll pretend we're working! ha ha!
Taylor was Awesome at shucking oysters! She was very serious about it too! That is a nasty looking slimy oyster she is cutting out of the shell! Todd and his friends each had a go at eating one raw! Todd said he had to chew his a bit because it was too big to swallow whole... gross! He did say he didn't love it.
On our way back we took a detour to Pleasant Harbour to get some icecream, they even had a band playing and it felt like summer! Bryant is turning his head because he was getting sprayed with water over every wave! The kids all ditched Todd's boat on the way back and rode in the ski boat instead... little traitors, I did too!
