YW Camp 2010
For our ward time we shared this huge slip n slide with another ward and the girls had fun. Taylor and I chose not to freeze and just sunned ourselves. It was so cold and the sun was behind the clouds more than it was out and it was pretty windy as the weather was changing. We had a cooler day the next day.
This wonderfully sweet lady is Sister Ekins from Garrison Creek ward, I believe. She is in my thoughts and prayers today as her little daughter who has CP died yesterday after an illness. This woman must have braided at least thirty dirty heads at camp, my daughter being one of them. She said it was pretty gross and yet she still did it, so kind and always with a smile. Even Taylor gave in and had her hair done, she loved it. Too bad I can't braid tight enough for it to stay in long... So, will I go again? Hmmmmm.... we'll shall see. I would like to go when Syndey goes to share that with her, she is going to love it!

Rattlesnake Ridge July 5th, 2010
This is a popular hiking mountain with a cool view at top, as I've been told. I have not hiked this one yet, I'd have to make sure there weren't any snakes first!
Taylor was dog sitting for our friends for ten days and it just happened to be over the holiday, darn. We were at home for the first year in years and come to find out that fireworks are illegal in Renton! I know, I've never heard of that before either. This daytrip was on the fifth of July, Todd wanted to fish and I wanted to hike. So he fished with Taylor and I hiked with the dog, Sydney and Bryant.
Sydney wanted to pose in front of the little waterfall, so cute!
There is the dog in the above photo. Just after taking this photo we were walking back along the path, no one was around so I let Bryant lead the dog on the leash. Well, a man dressed all in black came up behind us, the dog went into protection mode, the dog pulled away from Bryant and he dropped the leash, and the dog bit the man on the leg! Really! I was like what? He was like, "He just bit me!, shocked! I about died for sure! I finally got ahold of the leash and held him tight up against my leg, made sure the guy was okay and started walking back to the truck. The man came up behind me again and asked if the dog was up on his shots as he was on holiday from Israel and had a wife and kids to worry about. He followed me to the truck where I wrote down all my info and gave me his email so we could send him a copy of the shot record. It broke the skin a bit but wasn't bleeding, and he will have a bruise, but he was okay. He never left the park to seek medical help and was still there three hours later when we left. I hope he doesn't sue me! Todd isn't worried and said, he was from Israel and has to be tough!
After fishing we called up our good friend and his boys to hike with us and they are pretty spontaneous like us and came over. We hiked a part of Cougar Mtn. and this view is looking towards our house. That clearing in the center is about where our house is, pretty cool!
And finally this was the extent of our fourth of July festivities! It rained, but we still BBQ'd hamburgers and the kids threw pop its on the wet ground!

Todd's Oral Surgery
Last week Todd told me he needed the dentist's phone number to make an appointment, his tooth was hurting, and he never complains so it must have been bad. He had had a filling redone and the dentist had told him he thought he had gotten it all, and Todd thought maybe he hadn't because his mouth was hurting. It was his last molar on the left. The dentist ended up referring him to a specialist and after meeting with him they made an appointment for surgery. They thought it might be a piece of tooth left over from his wisdom teeth removal, get this, TWELVE years ago! This past Tuesday morning he went in and had this huge piece of tooth removed and they were right, it was from the wisdom tooth ages ago! My camera wouldn't let me get a closer look, sorry. Guess I need to get my manual out and learn how to do it! Poor Toddy!

Beads...
So it all began when my friend Brianne asked if I wanted to make these cool watches (Michelle, I am making one for Janae' for her birthday, so don't steal the idea until after that!) :) Anyways, these way cute watch bands clip off and on, making it really easy to switch them out to match your outfit! And so cute! Brianne has several colors and they are all so cute! We spent like two hours in the bead shop in Bellevue and let me tell you it was so overwhelming! Beads everywhere and in every color imaginable too! But, I do think it turned out pretty darn cute! I think I'll make more soon...
Then Sydney wanted a new bracelet... and we made this one. The beads are red, they just didn't show up too well in the photo.
Then came this... I found a package of Twilight charms, so cute! On Tuesday a friend of mine bought a whole theater for her friends to watch Eclipse together without all the young girls screaming... We did this for the last two movies as well and it is so fun chatting, playing games, watching the previous movie to "catch up". I thought I'd make this to take and put in as a prize, but first I am wearing it to church tomorrow to show all my CrAzY Twilight friends who will go GaGa over it! These beads are red as well, sorry about the lighting. It was so much fun putting it all together too!
For all those Team Jacob fans...

Last Day of School Circus
On the last day of school at the elementary school they have what they call the Circus. It's not really a circus, but it is crazy! First, all the kids bring their chairs out to the blacktop and sit by class and grades. Then each grade performs a dance that they have been working on in music class and then the unicycle riders perform too! Syd can't free-mount so will have to wait until next year to perform. Oh, and they had some tumblers too! The kids love it!
Look at how my baby can balance! He is so ready for Kindergarten...
