Loaded Cookie, part two

Okay, it didn't work.  So, we'll try to copy the recipe again!  Didn't work again, so here it is typed up for you by me!  These were so yummy, I just had to share them with my friends.

1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup peanut butter
3/4 cup white sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup peanut butter chips
1 cup Reece's pieces
1 package of mini Reece's peanut butter cups, cut in half and frozen.

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Cream together the first four things, until fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, until blended in.
Add vanilla

In a separate bowl combine flour, cocoa powder, baking soda.  Then gradually add to creamed mixture.

Add the chocolate chips, peanut butter chips and Reece's pieces.  Mix by hand so the shells of the pieces don't chip.  Drop by spoonful onto baking sheet, stick one half of the peanut butter cup into the top and push in.

Bake for 8-11 minutes.  Wait two minutes to cool, so they won't fall apart, then let cool the rest of the way on a rack.

Enjoy!

Loaded Peanut Butter Cup Chocolate Cookies

I got this recipe from mykitchencafe.blogspot.com

It was so yummy!  But then again, I love chocolate and peanut butter together! I tried to copy the recipe and it wouldn't copy into the blogger box, but beneath it, so we'll see if this works.  If not, I will post it again...

And you may.
Try them and you may, I say."

The Easter Bunny

For all of you with little children... this is what happens when they grow up and won't wear cute matching Easter dresses anymore!
Back to my original point.  The Easter Bunny!  My kids still believe, and in Santa too.  This week I did some basket filler shopping and put the bag in my closet.  The kids know they are not to go in my closet snooping.  I do understand they are kids still, and will sneak, I did it.  So, Sydney was helping Todd look for his wallet that he had put in a spot that he knew he wouldn't forget, he did, and so we were all looking for it yesterday morning.  On the way to school Sydney asked me, "Mom, what are those toys in that bag in your closet for?"  Why were you in my closet Syd... "looking for Dad's wallet that's all."  Ugh!  So this morning I asked her what she saw in the bag and she said she didn't see anything, that she didn't look.  Maybe she just saw through the bag... hmmmmmmmm.  So now what do I do?  Do I return the items or just say what the heck, if you saw, oh well.  When they say they don't believe, that is when the Easter bunny and/or Santa stops bringing them goodies and presents... (I think I believe her though...)  What would you do?
When I download my photos and then go back to rotate them, it still comes out this way on the blog.... sorry, just turn your computer or your head please.

Firsts...

This is a list of firsts.  I would love all of you blogging friends to post your firsts, too, but I'm not going to tag you...

Who was your FIRST pet?
My first pet was a dog.  I was three, and we named her Cocoa.  I think she was a brown poodle, is there such a thing?  She had short, brown, curyly fur and was little.

Do you still talk to your FIRST love?
No.  His name was  William Kelly and I would've been Kelly Kelly if we'd married.  We thought that was way cool. I met him in Kindergarten, moved and the next time I saw him was in high school and he was really short!  No attraction there at all!  Sorry Will!

What was your FIRST job?
Well, I was a babysitter for a long time, but my first real job with a regular paycheck was as a filing clerk for an Attorney.  I did the filing, cleaned a bit, and once I even got to do some research.

What was your FIRST car?
The first car I drove was a Dodge Colt four door, I wrecked it.  The first car I bought was a white Fiero, two seater, dangerous with the engine right behind my head!

Who was the first person to text/call you this morning?
Susan Robinson, PTSA business.  I don't know how to text, but I do know I get charged 20 cents a text. Kacie will you teach me this summer?

Who was your FIRST grade teacher?
Mrs. Hawes, Green Park Elementary School.

Where did you go on your FIRST airplane ride?
I flew with my grandparents to Philadelphia, PA. in 1976.

Who was your FIRST best friend and do you still talk?
My first best friend was Melanie Lim, we met when I was three, and yes we still chat via blogs and facebook!

Where was your FIRST sleepover?
Well, I remember sleeping over at my Grandma Jo's house a lot.  Not sure if it was the first though...

Who was the FIRST person you talked to this morning?
Bryant.  Todd is out of town and Bry came into my bed this morning around six-ish!

Whose wedding were you in the FIRST time?
Denice and Joel Gardner's, I was her maid of honor!  I wore a beautiful, floral dress!

What was the FIRST thing you did this morning?
I went wee, gotta go when you gotta go, right!

What was the FIRST concert you attended?
It was either RATT or Motley Crue... they were both around the same time-ish.  I bet a lot of you didn't know I was once a rocker, huh?

FIRST set of stitches and how?  I was three.  I was on the back of my mother's bike in those baby seats and my foot slipped off  the foot rest area and into the spokes of the back wheel.    I remember being in the ER and the doctors and nurses telling me to be quiet, that the babies were sleeping upstairs.  I didn't care about no stinkin' babies!  I have a nice scar across my achillies (sp?) on my right foot.

FIRST piercing?  My ears, I think I was twelve.

FIRST foreign country?
Canada.  My family went on vacation to some place in Alberta, I think.

FIRST movie you remember?
I'm not sure. We didn't go to the movie theatre when I was a kid, too many children.  I remember our parents let us watch Alien when they rented it.  I do remember the part where the alien comes out of that guys stomach at the table.  I will never forget that part!

What was your FIRST bike?  I'm sure I had a trike, a big wheel too, but the bike that was mine was orange with a white sparkly banana seat with a bar that went up behind your back.

What was your FIRST computer?
If I am remembering right, it was our free one that Intel gave us.  Gateway maybe?

Who was your FIRST roommate?
My first roommate was Nancy Smith.  We got an apartment right out of high school, while we were attending WWCC.

FIRST KISS?
I was fifteen and his name was Matt, and that is all I'm saying on that subject!

This is what we woke up to yesterday!  Snow!  And it was still here today.  It is pretty much gone, but still freezing out...37 degrees right now!  Way to cold for March, I say!

We have fire!

Taylor loves to make fire.  When she was like six or seven, Taylor and her friend were playing out front in our cul de sac and both came running in excited screaming... Mom, Mom, come see what we did!  So, I went out, not knowing what to expect and saw a small blazing fire in our driveway!  They were so proud of themselves!  It was so hard not to praise them to no end.  Then the safety talk came and how dangerous it was to play with matches....  And I'm sure it was all Taylor too and an innocent bystander watching the master work.  This is her just the other day in our back yard, on the bark chips!  See her little flame.

Christmas in March...Really?

Saturday we drove north to visit our "Cousins" and to exchange Christmas gifts... we had a hard time making the time to get together with our crazy schedules.  We received a chocolate fountain and a game, can you say yummmm!  They recieved two board games and drinking glasses!  This was a fun, late Christmas for everyone.  The weather was...not raining, and Taylor and R. disappeared into the woods out back for the whole afternoon.  They said they had made a fort, if it is still there next time we go I'll get a photo.  They were covered in mud.  Sydney and A. had fun with pet shops and drawing. Bryant played with B.'s toys that were new to him.   And the Moms and Dads got to go out to eat some yummy Indian food!  Thanks for a fun day!
My parents were in Walla Walla for Christmas this year, but we weren't.  My sister was supposed to get our gifts to us from them... we received them in the mail March first!  Does anyone else find this funny?
