Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium

Just a note... They found my camera bag and cord, so we drove to Tacoma today to retrieve it from the zoo.

My friend Cathy and her girls invited us to go to the zoo with them, she has a membership which made it an even better deal! This was our first time to see this zoo, it was smaller but still nice and we had no trouble seeing everything and a show in a few hours time. This is Sydney and one of her BBF's V. on the carousel, which turned out to be the favorite thing of the day!
Bryant is wearing J's girl jacket because his mother forgot all about it possibly being chilly in the morning of a day that was to be 85 degrees! Sorry B, you're still cute though!
This tank had 38 different sharks. This one was laying on the bottom right in front of us. The man said they were sleeping and there were groups of them laying on the floor of the tank all over the place.

This is my friend Cathy with the kids and my absolute favorite animal, the Elephant!
These little tiny birds are called Budgie's and are so cute! The kids all fed them seeds on the end of a stick, then tried to feed by hand anything they found on the ground that may have been dropped.
This is another of my favorite animals!
And another...

I need to find out where this is, because Dylan was bugging me that he's never been to a real zoo, and he's determined to have field trips on this home schooling gig. I answered your questions about home schooling on my post "The Second First Day". So nice that your stuff was returned.

You chose a great day to go it looks like! We went to check it out a few months ago and it started raining--so not many animals were out. We'll have to go again-looks much more fun in your pictures. Have you been to the woodland park zoo in seattle?
