We headed to eastern Oregon for Todd's twentieth class reunion. It was hot, hot... but our hotel had A/C and a pool! Here is what Todd looked like in tenth grade, as he moved to Salem during his sophomore year. These are the kids he wanted to see again after twenty two years!
With his life jacket on Bryant is an absolute fish! I didn't even need to be near him or in the water!
I'm posting this for Todd's family... this is the Ackerman Elementary kids and they are still pretty tight. This elementary school was on the Eastern Oregon University campus and they were regarded as the smart kids. They all turned out to be successful too. The girl in the front in a white t-shirt lives in my home town of Walla Walla and lives across the street from our old home! 
This is the house Todd grew up in and climbed that big tree in the back yard. It was a yellow back then too, but had a black roof and a different trim color and I'm sure they mowed the grass too... Todd will agree with that!
This is the first church building in La Grande and then became the bishop's storehouse for the area.
On our way out of town we stopped at the Interpreter Center for the Oregon Trail.
Where Bryant and Taylor are walking is actually the trail the wagons used 150 plus years ago. Amazing! It sure made me appreciate not being born a pioneer!
It was very eye-opening to see just how not so much room there is in a wagon! What would you leave behind and what would you take with you?

Maybe we'll have to take the kids down for a history lesson...when the weather cools down a bit, of course.
Looks like it was a great trip! So fun to see the pic of Todd in High School and the group from his school. We're going to our 10 year at the end of the month.
